William Comstock

 

also spelled Cumstock

 
 

William Comstock was born about 1791 and was the son of Levi Comstock and Abigail Richardson.

He married Mary Patterson.

Elizabeth Betsey Comstock (1812, married William Seaman and Francis Bowen),
Sally Comstock Russel (1813, married Joseph Russel),
Philena Comstock Hoadley (1814, marrid John Hoadley),
Alpheus Comstock (1817, married (Ruth Russel),
Levi Comstock (about 1821, married Jane Comstock), and
Thomas Comstock (about 1826, married Maria McCue).

During the War of 1812, William served in the Leeds County Militia.

On June 19, 1820, William petitioned to surrender his father's patent for lot 18, 1st concession, 2nd range in Yonge so that he could claim the same land.
